anyone have a problem with itunes randomly shutting off? I mean the app is still running, but it's like someone pressed the stop button. Ghost, perhaps? seriously though anyone?

its poorly made Apple product
- danthon0
yes, I have to reboot for it to kick back in

I just have to hit the play button again, no big deal, but it seems like this just started happening like a month or so ago. Maybe confilict with a recently installed app or something...

every since the Cube, they been producing poorly made products driven by gimicks and mass market.
they are losing that specialty sleekness of good product

it uses 46 megs of ram on windoze. winamp uses 900k

agreed. I still love me g5 though. I was pissed about the release of Jaguar and panther, and how it did not work on my g4. Took it to the shop like 3 times, no one could fix it at all... oh well, I'm gonna drink some whiskey now.

all i can say is that (coming from a Apple II) user, Apple has finally succeeding in making it in to main stream market.. funny how its not their OS or Computer.. but mp3 player..
its sad that they are using cheap materials and poorly built software for other products...
i hope to see more Unix oriently viruses and holes.. so everyone can finally say Apple really sucks

Me love MAC. But there are undeniable faults in some of their products. Specially laptops are pretty sensitive....
And all these things don't make me like Mac any less, so far.

I love itunes- never failed for me once. Running 18,000 mp3's on it- networking it between 5 users- listen to radio stations all day at work. Sounds like more of a poorly made user than a poorly made application.
I have been using Apple and PC products since 1990- and I thank God for OS X and their supposedly poorly made new products and applications- in my opinion this is the best stuff to come out of Apple, or any company, for a long time.

mine hiccups and sputters a bit but only when playing through my stereo speakers via airport express...i think it's more my internet connection being shite though...but yes, the same problem...
also, my g3 powerbook ran panther from about the week it came out until saturday when i put tiger on it and (after 3 days of spotlight indexing) it runs great...this laptop is one of the best buys i've ever made...it could still be my primary machine if i needed it to be...

I just noticed that with two tracks, itunes just stops. It will play for about 30 seconds and then it stops. the app doesn't freeze. i upgraded to 4.7 about three weeks ago but that's the only major thing i've done.

wierd. i've never had problems with my itunes on my G5.
hmmmm :(

Its weird , but the dual G5 at my job is slower than my dual G4. iTunes hicccups, aftereffects ram previews are garbage...could it be a faulty hard drive?
- benfal990
i was about to buy my very first Mac, a G5..... you guys telling me all that now...
*do i stick to my PC?.... damn! Funking shit*
