i've used both and now own the 2405 and love it. the color's great (for an LCD) and the price was quite good.
it's a newer generation panel than the apple panels, and it's an LG (apple's are samsung's, although a generation older = slower response time and various other small small diff's)

i AM going to buy 3 of the 30 inch monitors... but that's another story ;)
no, it's being paid for, and i actually don't want the 30 inch one yet. plus, i'd have to buy a new video card for that one--though a coworker has it and it is fuckin sweet.
keep 'em comin!

I thought the Apple displays were Samsung?

I have the Dell and am very happy with it, widescreen is really a step forward. Both are build on the same Philips LG LCD so the quality cant differ too much
but if price is no issue then buy the 30" or 2 of those, or why not 3?

Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW 24-inch http://accessories.us.dell.com/s…
price is not an issue.
