of organic things. anyone got some interesting examples?
i am looking for geometric interpretations of organic things like flowers and stuff..

Might be cool, I don't have anything, but would be cool to see some things drawn out differently.
Honestly, though, the middle of a sunflower kind of freaks me out. No way to explain, I just get creeped out by that pattern. Same thing with Kiwi fruit.

WOAH! i was thinking about the same thing now. You see, i am on an assignment here for a reknowned floral designer and he loves the idea of geometric abstraction. he's also deep into helvetica and that sort of stuff for his ID.. haha, sometimes i wonder if he shouldn't have moved into graphic design.

elms i experimented with ideas like that.. and came to a bp'ish shape.
if you think about it. it's actually pretty sucky bp 'owns' that shape now.. :/

yeah but that is closer to organic.
i am looking into really really basic geometric shapes..
pure circles, squares, rectabgles, triangles etc etc

vburo, the math for the sunflower center is pretty simple... you can script the insides of that in illustrator pretty easily...
