I'm looking at getting a setup really soon as well. I think it really depends on what you plan to do with it...t-shirts, posters...how many impressions and how many colors. I think I'll be getting a setup like this:

I'm going to get a large work bench and mount that onto it.
There is also a nice looking kit on

sounds good...I contacted thinkmule http://www.thinkmule.com who makes some damn fine posters...he has a really really basic setup...he also sent me a few emails with how he does stuff with pictures of his homemade setup...let me know if you want me to forward those to you.
What are you planning on silkscreening?

IDP, if you would forward that info to me, it would be mucho appreciated.

cool I'll send them out later...I sent thinkmule an email making sure it was cool that I forward those on...I'm sure its no problem.
Are both of you new to silkscreening?

I did it high school with a pro setup, but just getting back into it, trying to get a basic setup to print some posters and T's at home.

yeah same here...we should all stay in contact. I'm kind of new to it and looking to get a basic setup. I actually grew up with screenprinting...my folks owned a t-shirt shop.

I have a friend/client who just got an old 7 color press with the big wooden arms, but it's in his basement in VA which is a 2 hour drive but for larger runs, I plan on taking full advantage of it.
