Hello
I am working on a symbol, for a project relating the hydrological cycle -
http://www.google.com/search?hl=…
my question is do any of these logo's work in terms of the cycle. I feel they are not overly 'watery' but i have been staring at it for too long and have lost objectivity.
If any one has any opinions i would be much appreciative
thanks :)

whoops! i meant to also say that no text will be used, it is for putting in the corner of powerpoint presentations etc, to signify the slides are taken from the project.

top, middle is interesting but it doesn't say water to me... hmmmm.

I would work off the first in the bunch and simplify it even more, maybe try making both arrows half circles. It doesn't look like a logo/mark yet, it is more of an illustration now.

bluejam, i couldn't get that link to work :(

It does look like an instuctional diagram, though am wondering whether that is the nature of the topic...
will have a play around see if i can make it more watery.
Thanks folks
*wanders off to the kitchen to find the teapot, and plenty of tea :D

if i were you i'd add something watery in there and play back the mountains a tad.

Yep for sure, now that i look at it again i reckon it looks like something to do with mountains and nothing to do with water... whoops! Back to the drawing board :)
Thanks for the heads up.

No sugar, bit of milk. Thanks.

i like the arrow forms you're using in the one on the top left. perhaps try making the box shape match the contours of these arrows for a real "cycle" effect on the eye. other than that, yeah play back the mountains :P

the top left does seem the more popular version.
Interestingly that was the first on i did....
will post again in this thread when i come up with something better :)
