i'm not sure if this is even possible, but...
i'd like to place a message board on a website where people can view/submit messages. but, it has to be kid/family friendly. is there a way that all the messages can be screened by an administrator type of person before they are posted to the website?

not if you want it real time. unless the screener is REALLY fast.

just set up a basic fuck/shit/cunt etc filter (i think phpBB or the like have add-ons that do this) and terminate/penalize accounts that try to get around it.

it's got to do more than just automatically censor f-words and the like.
it doesn't need to be realtime though.
ideally, when somebody posts something it would go into a sort of queue thing where the administrator could go to approve/disapprove the posts.
there has GOT to be something like this out there. i just can't seem to find it... help!

If you want to go for a full-on message board/foruums system, all the major message boards have this. You can pre- or post-moderate, set trusted users, filter words and phrases etc..
there are free ones out there too

i'm a designer and i suck at programming.
there's got to be a simple guestbook out there that allows for the owner to approve messages before they're posted.
who can find it??
