html is better than flash, in my opinion.
i have nothing against it though, except i think it's lame when ppl use flash for something that could have easily been done in html.
and i'm done.

i think CSS + XHTML is cool too (plus XML, PHP)
i believe that flash gives designers more freedom tho.. im doing a website for a real estate client (yes i kno Real Estate + Design = Bad) rite now and wanted to make it in HTML.. so im trying out HTML and CSS too.. and fuck! DO I MISS MY FLASH!!! i want the motion! i want the interactivity!!
on the other hand.. this project also showed me the HUGE CSS community there is and all the cool work thats been happening there...
oh and one more thing.. that i wanna ask to all of u CSS+HTML people... WHY DO ALL THE CSS WEBSITES LOOK THE SAME!! :'(.. they look like fucking blogs!.. whyyy.. maybe im rong.. im a n00b when it comes to CSS.. i hope im rong.. please show me stuff that doesnt look like a fucking blog...

flash is ok, but there HAS to be a fallback to HTML for those without flash. I mean, a good number of people dont have flash, maybe not the people who look at designer sites, but if you're doing a page that you'd want anyone and everyone to see, flash has to be completely optional.

at FITC this yr... Mike Downey (i think) from Macromedia said flash player is on like 95% of the computers on the web..
but i do agree wid u.. i wudnt want Amazon, Yahoo, Ebay, Google to be in flash.. hehe.. that'll b super-funny tho

Anyway, most people on linux dont have flash. The flash player for linux is pretty iffy, eventhough im typing this on a linux box and it works pretty well, most of my linux nerd friends dont have the flash player installed.
