hi there. new to design. bent on building a site.
smart self-promo is firstnamelastname.com, right?
but now a guy friend is suggesting i'll run into stalker probs if i make my full name public. (though it'd eventually be posted in "contact.")
seems like common practice to use firstlast.com, but i can't remember many women doing it.
any thoughts? any warnings? suggestions? so i can make a decent decision on this.
thanks much.

Stalkers ? you mean groupies, the only kind of stalking i had from registering domains was people trying to sell me *similar*.tk/.fm etc
i own my official Firstname.com
who can say that, fucked up parents does cause uniqueness

I'm not a pretty lady, but have never heard of stalker problems.
I suggest first name last name if your planing to promote as an individual.
Verses marketing your services as a working studio.

No dude, it's your first pet plus your house street name. That's the key it equates to yuor Porn Name.
