My Dell laptop backlight died on the display, not sure if it is the inverter or the display. Either way, it is still under warranty for a while. Anyone ever had to send anything back to dell? Are there local service centers or do I have to physically mail it back to Dell? Their Web site is worthless for this question and I dont want to call India if I don't have to.
As always: Mac jokes are welcome!

buy a big mac
you'll have to call dell for the shipping address and label

they dont have like authorized service locations? If I mail this thing out, it is going to be gone for fucking ever.

sorry dude, no locations that i know of and yes they are a bear to deal with now that everything is overseas
i lost a power supply due to faulty electrical work
i bought an aftermarket one to use in the interim but since you have the laptop, its all gotta go back my friend :(
dell uses dell proprietary parts having anyone else open it up will void your warranty
