Thank Goodness.
I have caught a couple of people recently using this app.
When asked why they were using it, i just got the "i dont know, it is IE" response.
I am like "hey, it hasnt been updated in 4 years, it is kind of old school"
Then they are like, "really?"Arrrggghhhhh.

I was forced to use it over the weekend and I was dying for my browse- by- tabs.

the only gripe i have with it is that it interprets code the way it wants to, making sites using css one hell of a bitch to make cross-browser compatible
- kbags0
scarabin, you talkin about IE?
- scarabin0
yeah
- kbags0
thought so...yeah, that sux
- QuincyArcher0
yeah, the next version of IE will finally have tabbed browsing...how many years after every other browser?
I don't worry about browser compatibility with Mac OS IE. I figure anyone smart enough to own a mac is also smart enough to not use IE

when will they adopt html/css standards?

if you are talkign about MAC IE, the answer is Never.
5.2 is the last version that will ever be made.
MS needs to get their heads out of their asses regarding the box model more than anything else.

Does anyone know if the fonts included with IE are installed by default in Tiger?

I use IE on a PC and I fucking love it. It's the only browser that's reliable to surf the entire internet. Plus, when I hit a flash site I don't get that chunky FlashPlayer hand, I get the nicely formed IE hand.
As for when IE will adopt the CSS "standards" put forth by the W3C . . . well, I look at it differently. As soon as the W3C makes a browser that 90% of the population uses then I'll accept their recommendations for "standards".
However, since right now IE is by far the runaway browser anything it says goes. A bit fascist but they, deal with it our make your own browser and get everyone to use it.
I do wish IE had full support for PNG's though. That would be nice.

Firefox rules.

yeah man, not supporting PNG filetype is a big letdown. can't understand why they do. MS > keeping internets in the stone age lazy bastards.
- imakedesign0
ie7 will have it.
- sparker0
ie will adobt standards when ms owns the w3 and can make the code proprietary.
*cough* xaml *cough*
