Hey, im concidering a Sony S2HP for studding and designing.
its a 13,3" xblack tft 1280x800 with 1,6ghz centrino and 40gb of hdd. That is all fine for me, but im wondering if the 32mb Radeon 9700 is enough for photoshop?
Or does photoshop not use the CPU Ram?
I just dont know, help me!

9700 w 64 is enough for photoshop. As far as I know photoshop does not work the video card too hard. I have an old comp my mom uses running photoshop 7 with an old 32 mb card and it runs fine.

Yes it is, but it won't support high resolutions.
64 is standard, 128 is ideal.

Photoshop uses your GPU and video ram as much as Office or Notepad.
so the answer on your question is no, you do need a minimum of 4MB memory on your video card to be able to install WindowsXP tho if i remember correctly

anything 3d or some video applications is a whole different matter of course
