Paxman starts by asking george if hes proud of ousting one of the only black female mps. George tells him to shut the fuck up. paxman persists. repeat as required.

I lost my "both movies on one vhs" recently. I must have had that for 15 years.

Paxman can come across as being belligerent but i like him.
he can be quite aggressive, like at the start of that link where he asks the question about ousting one of the few black women in parliament, over and over again. But that's the nature of political questioning. Politicians can squirm their way out of any question otherwise!
If you watch a bit longer he gets to questioning Galloway's statement that "a lot of people have been killed in iraq, many with skin blacker than hers". there's something nasty about that. i don't particularly like Galloway.

i'm having plugin issues. i'll have to watch it later.
gotta say though, i dig paxman.

i dont like galloway, but i think paxman's becoming a charicature of himself.
A tv personality. Like Jon Snow says, (who i like way better) that tv interviewers these days have these huge egos, and have competitions as to who can wind up politicians the most. It's cynical, and in the end it reveals nothing.
I mean ask challenging questions, but no need to be like "i'm gonna be a confrontational prick, makes for good tv, and will help me pay off my mortgage for my second holiday home in the algarve"

I used to like him - It looks like he is starting to believe his own hype and doesn't need to try anymore.
Provocotive for its own sake rather than trying to get any insight into the matter at hand.

or what kuz said.
Jon snow rocks by the way. If for nothing else than his answer in the 4 idents as to what he wanted to do before he died.
- kelpie0
did you see him going at Martin McGuinnes (sp)? Part of me liked him endlessly badgering him, but you have to say, if he were to back off a bit and set these guys up for a more subtle tackle we'd be learning more (he used to do that).
- paraselene0
well, compared to what we're used to in the states, both those guys are beacons of journalistic integrity! and far classier. i get the point about paxman, though.
i missed that what snow wants to do before he dies thing. gotta link?
