the bar i used to work at was haunted.
strange shit was always happening. after a late night if i had friends in to drink for free glass was broken, napkins thrown about straws on the floor. sometimes when the tv's were on low if you listened hard enough you could hear what sounded like pacing footsteps behind the bar. other nights it would sound like the bar was full of people, then you'd turn off the tv and silence.
one of the times that really got to me i had a few friends in the back drinking beer and cooking on the oven. i heard a loud metal banging sound and from 3 years working there i knew what it was. it was the sound of a metal martini shaker falling to the floor. i know cause i used to spin them all the time in my hand and drop it. so as i went out to see who was behind the bar i noticed it was the shaker we use to catch the pre-pour foam from the tappers. it must had fallen off the shelf. as i went to pick it up off the floor i remember thinking 'cool, it hit the floor and bounced around for a bit and landed upright... cool.' so as i went to pick it up i noticed the tin was full of beer. all the way to the top and not a drop was spilled on the floor, yet i just heard it fall and bounce a few seconds before. scared me shitless.

oh. then one weekend some lady walked in the front door and screamed bloody murder.
so i ran over and she said 'this place is haunted' and went on to explain she was gifted in the sense she could see spirits and the supernatural.
so we talked for a bit at the bar and she told me of the things that had happened at the bar and she never had stepped foot in it before. she said a woman who used to live here died and was angry it had been turned into a bar... blah blah.
so i took her on a tour and didn't tell her anything about the place. i wanted to see what she knew.
as i walked her to the padlocked beer room she got all pale and said 'a young boy, who means you no harm now, was hanged in this room from the rafter in the ceiling. is there a single rafter running along the ceiling of this room. i almost shitmyself. there was.
then i took her upstairs to the hotel part. as i took her to the first suite she felt the door and pulled back. then she said this was the room she died in and is behind this door. i didn't mention to her that the old woman had lived in that very room for years as the hotel carried on it's business until she passed away 40 or 50 years before. pretty crazy.
i belive in ghosts. except casper. he was gay.
