So a month ago i made a site for this lady. I was 75% done maybe more, anyways I haven't talked to her for a month when I showed her the site http://papineau.compunik.com/bro…
Today I went to her site to get her phone number and found this http://www.zhibzhii.com
What the fuck?
I haven't talked to her but apperently she didn't like it and got this website instead. They took some of my images and ideas I did. Is she crazy? If thats what she like so be it.

did you get her to sign a non disclosure?
- ********0
sue her, be litigious
some people have no understanding of worse vs. better
or essentially they don't care
- robotron3k0
no worries right. you got 50% down of course. (didn't you?)

I got payed, and I'm not going to pursue any legal issues. I just wish she communicated more and not hire some hack instead.

Bad luck buddy, lesson learnt.
As a freelancer, I have had this problem to, different issue. When I first started out I approached a few small records labels, I was gonna do it cheap in return for some recognition, name at the bottom of the site etc. Anyway, I redesigned the site and thrown in a new logo for him to have for free, he basically took my logo and designed a crap version of the site himself. Thing is, when I was doing it I put all my effort into it, turn down other work to get it finished.
Now he uses my logo on record sleeves, posters, flyers, records, cd's.
No I have all kind of documents which I get the client to sign, at worst, the client will think that you are being over cautious, at best they will see that you take your work seriously and are professional, of course you got the legal documents to fall back on if it goes pear shaped.
Hope this helps.

that picture was sooo matrix/kung fu hustle/house of flying dagger/hero/crouching tiger hidden dragon.

to answer your question: yes, she is crazy.
- Paps0
Definitely helps, thanks.
I should have included documents and had more interaction with the client. Sucks learning the hard way.

ME-OUCH!
Her current website makes her look like "crazy cat lady!"
ces la vie! keep at it and don't let it bog you down...you're better than that...onward and upward...the best has yet to come...and other assorted cliches!
You do good work, sux, but you will grow from it.

To K77
Nothing happened between us, I should have been more of a pro so she wouldn't have to have a website like that. Thanks for the responses
