Hi people, just a simple question:
How do I separate 2 diferent variables in the same text.file?
Thanks
- Rickbass0
with an ampersand.
- SirG0
Name value pairs...
For example:
&var1=this is where the value for the first var goes&var2=this is the value for var2

But you might want to think about looking at XML instead of these name value pairs text files... They can easy become unreadable and a pain to edit.

here is a trick for loading var from txt:
&myname=nuno&
&hername=mira&
&age=24&this way will still work and easy to update.

I like it.

I always stick a &datadone=1& at the end... so I know everything has loaded in

One more thing, does anybody knows how do I put a html link in the text fil that works later in the flash movie?
- stewart0
links just with the tags like in a html page.
+ you can use the font tag for adding a colour to your link, the underline tag, etc.
make sure you set the textfield in flash to "render as html"
- Engage_London0
put a u and a /u in brackets too if you want an underlined thing to happen

Hows about a cursor change? Anybody got one for HTML text or some kind of onRollOver handler would be great.
- Elfangio0
Got it, thanks people

for underlining links in html text I prefer to add a CSS stylesheet to the textBox after the loadVars occurs.
