though, i am not a fan of ethan hawk, i watched this movie last night. i enjoyed the dialongue.
a quote from the movie.
"I see it in the people that do the real work, and what's sad in a way is that the people that are the most giving, hardworking, and capable of making this world better, usually don't have the ego and ambition to be a leader. "

yes, it's a chick flick. i wouldn't admit that i watched it normally. but i am getting soft these days.
it just made me wonder. because i used to have those dialogue with people i met. you connect at a different level. when you were younger you think you'd meet so many of them. then as you get older, it becomes harder to meet.
i don't know. it just made me think about relationships and life.

I was something like 21 when I saw "Before Sunrise". Now I'm over 30, saw it again and then "Before Sunset" the next day.
The sequel is kind of badly played, seems like a 5 day break for a Paris trip in Hawke's tight schedule. They're both visibly stoned. But i like it, so does my gf.
It was a story with an ending that I always thought shouldn't be explained. We shouldn't know if they ever met again. But wtf, after those years it's surprisingly ok to have a sequel about it. A lot of us wanted to see it and it came as a kind of release.
I wonder if Linklater is going to give us another episode in 10 years.
