the dude's at the apple store were able to, somehow, retrieve all my data. so now, after i bought a lacie and have all my files back, it wont accept my old password to install my apps?!
what did it change my password to?! it's not the same as it was.
also, i cant get a wireless signal. what's the deal?

if i were you after the drama you've been through already, i'd start backing that shit up on dvd's or something.
a LaCie is not really a guarantee for safe data backup really. actually it might even be a lot riskier then your average Mac HD.
Do a search on it here.

i use my ipod for backups, and then i backup to dvd about every three weeks...
seems to work ok, but i would like to be able to clone the entire drive onto another...
