okay...standing at the ATM after no more than a few drinks. Captain alcohol presents out of nowhere. ( people are standing in line behind me )
He doesn't look happy to wait - forcefully removes my money from said device, and pushes me out of the way. I'm 5,8. He's a fair bit bigger.
My two friends voiced disapproval, to which CA responds with much chest beating.
We vocally admit defeat, move away, but CA follows, focusing on my great friend Dave.
1 minute at least of CA's drunken aggressive behaviour continues, and doesn't appear to be decreasing.
I think to myself - this chap is about to physically assault my best man.
So i grab him by his neck, and throw him to the ground, before a lovely melee ensues.
Soon after, I cop one punch to my eye, and a misguided sneaker to my groin.
Moments later, police appear, and take details.
i have the option to press charges.
What would you do?

do it! I hate those fucking meatheads.
- imakedesign0
do it.

ps - he looked about 30. Hot girly. Should have known better right?

Definitely press charges!!! I got attacked 8yrs ago by five guys, two of them got two years and the rest got community service. The difficult part was identifying them and facing them in court. Its a long process but its worth it in the end. Why should you let him get away with it....twats!?!?

do you really need to ask, or are you just sharing the story?
'cause of course you should fucking press charges
- mirola0
so you actually made the first move? i think pressing charges would be unwise
- vburo0
CA, what is that.
- mirola0
the captain of alcahol.
- sAvcy0
agreed with mirola... if you made the first move, then no.
- vburo0
ah, that'd be me then?
he was like 6ft8, or..?
i was pretty pissed last night..

I'm not so sure that pressing charges would benefit you if you attacked him first. Him hitting you was technically an act of self defense. Then again, my friends and I have learned numerous times to coordinate out stories exactly the same way any time Johnny Law is on his way to the scene.
BTW- I would have knocked that motherfucker out at the ATM; fuck a surveillance video.

i'd imagine the first move was taking the guy's money then physically pushing him.
how is this not the first move?
- instantok0
he made the first move when he (technically) mugged you...you have a perfectly acceptable self defense story considering after he robbed you he followed you and made verbal threats (which can be considered another form of assault)...so definitely press charges...i still wish i had found the fuckers who robbed me at gunpoint...get him put away then send him pictures of you doing blow of strippers titties and having general good times in the free world

well jail might be a bit harsh.
But an image of the whole thing printed on a nice Tshirt for him to wear for the next two years would be lovely.
Actually, a little hat would be better.

do it. You were defending yourself and your friends when you hit him.
- Jaline0
yup

Captain Alcohol is one of the most misunderstood superheroes.
