if you are ona probation period they can drop you, and you couldn't do anything about it. Just keep talking to them and remind them you want to be there to work. You should be fine.

hmmm..that reminds me...i have to get my license next month...

so, you still working there?

Can you work from home for some period, you are not working with your legs, are you
- shellie0
what does your leg have to do with you being able to be a graphics designer.

what part of the ol' leg? I broke my femur and thats a good 3 mo's of down time.
- Jaline0
maybe it hurts?
- Nac0
to play devils advocate to what everyone else is asking like : What does your leg have to do with design?"...perhaps he hurt it late yesterday...was waiting in the hospital last night for a long time, and came home late from getting it mended.....perhaps not enough sleep and pain killers kept him down today...
any questions?

there should be no problem. I tore multiple ligaments in my ankle last week and I am in a cast for 4 months, and I haven't missed a day of work. I have been pretty fucked up though on Vicodins, but actually get more work done.

I've broken more bones than I have fingers and toes.
Never missed school.
Never missed work.
So I guess I'm a bit confused.
Thankfully i didn't break anything that had to do with my hands or arms, so I was always able to do what I needed to do as long as I had crutches and proper medication. If it ever had been soemthing were I couldnt use a crutch, then I suppose I could use a wheel chair and go to work.
Seems like after an injury like that, making into the office would make you a champ in their eyes. If it was your driving leg, then you'll have to find another mode of transport. (Carpool, bus, public trans, cab) obviously he's well enough to come on Newstoday :).

pft, obviously!

jesus, NOBODY has shown any sympathy for him breaking his leg. what is wrong with you people?!
that sucks you broke your leg man :(
- Jaline0
ha, yeah it does suck.
my dad actually fell at work (he didn't see the WET FLOOR sign) and ended up breaking his knee cap. had to have surgery. hmm...i wonder if he still has that metal bar inside his knee...

my friend's wife's company employes this one designer who recently broke his knee. he didn't have very much downtime at all. he just works iwth his leg in a cast and propped up on a stool while he's working.
