I'm working on the redesign of a teen site for a national non-profit. IT'll be obvious where the "inspiration" comes from. Can you guys critique for me? Give me the truth. I'm not getting much help from the people i work with.

i am not a big fan of the brushed metal. also it should be more colorful and "hip" right now it is kind of boring looking, and maybe teenagers wouldn't find it interesting?

I like it.
The only thing is that it's very different from what I would consider to be a 'teen environment'. Maybe if it had more colours? hmm..not sure...

i would say ditch the chrome look and make everything solid colours, but thats just my $00.02

I dig in general... I'd look at making the type in the subsections more interesting and so 'there'.
the brushed metal isn't working for me either... but the logo's cool enough that you should focus on that and not take away from it too much with colour.

start with a grid - try some different type treatments - find some colours that work together well and don't conflict
