No shit Gordy, i'm reading American tabloid at the moment - very cool book. the sequal, 'Cold Six thousand' is very cool too. I would also reccomend 'Zen and the art of motercycle maintenance' to anyone, as well as anything by william gibson, if you have not been there allready.

You know I have to say I much prefered American Tabloid; Cold 6 was alright but I think kemper Boyde made he first one.
Just love his style of writting. So cool. subconciously I started to write e mails like it whilst reading it.

yeah. i like how Pete Bondurant turned out in Cold 6. Ellorys got mad styles. i heard that once an editor told him to shorten a 900 page work to 350 pages, he did it by eliminating all the verbs! I think it was White Jazz, not sure.

If you like Motherless Brooklyn then get 'The Fortress of Solitude' by the same author [Jonathan Lethem], brilliant book.

I'm stupid. I forgot my real favorite book that you better read:
Terry Southern - The Magic Christian
Guy Grand is the one person I would like to be most in life. I no longer want to be Michael Jordan like I did in junior high.

If you're into more classical stuff, or into re-reading, there's always the Big ones like e.g.:
Henry James: The Turn of the Screw.
Conrad, Heart of Darkness ("Apolcalypse Now" is based on this book)
Poe "The Narrative of Arthur Gordom Pym of Nantucket"
or this little pearl from Argentina: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obido…
