new LCD display help

After considering all the different options I think I'm gonna go for a new LG.
Here's the problem though.
I can't decide whether to get a 17 or 19in model. They both have 1280x1024 pixels and the spec is like for like apart from the physical screen size.
Should I save £70 and get the 17 or save my eyesight and get the 19?

I know it's dull but I had nightmares about this quandry.
I'm leaning towards 17 to save dosh.

get the bigger monitor especially if you spend time on sites with tiny pixelated fonts.
otherwise knock yourself out, sony has a 800x600 display on the u70 that only measures 5" across.

rule of thumb: bigger is better.

but surely if the pixel ratio is the same I don't get any extra screen space for my hard earned pound?
