Just wondered if anyone knows of a good company, either local to vancouver or on the web, where i can get business cards done that are more specialty.. like with edges cut a certain way etc. the cheaper the better, though i know special designs cost more.

no edge effects, but these guys make a really nice satin finish business card:

edges cut a certain way... so you mean "die cut"... any pro printer in van could probably take care of you. prices will be +++ for die cuts no matter what. hemlock printers does a great job and can definitely accomodate die cuts. you might even be able to find a small shop that does it.

for spot color on quality papers i've been using Metro Printers in Vancouver for my last few bcard jobs.. they're pretty good for small specialty off-set orders, and don't seem to mind when I place an order for a single box/ 500 cards. it's small shop but they've got a lot of the finishing toys in house which keeps the price down.
