Anyone had this? instead of going to the standard MS 'this page cannot be found' I'm redirected to one of those bloody 'search sites'... & before any says use firefox. I have to use ie as I need to have access to a load of activex crap... a solution would be nice - I've run adaware too btw.... help.. it's killing me.

goto google and search for 'trend housecall' download a follow instructions for removal of adware and spyware.
v.good.
it is also possible that the sites you have been visiting push you to the search engine if you request a page resulting in 404. its up 2 them

I've had that happen to me. It's hard to get rid of, but try searching for a program called 'hijackthis'
it tells you exactly what is using your browser, (homepage, yahoo toolbar, etc) and you can choose which to get rid of.
