Bad Footage

  Our Client shot some footage of a turn table spinning and i'm aligning typography to the rotation of the record in After Effects. But the footage they shot is TERRIBLE. I duplicated the quick time, blurred it out and over layed on the existing footage and that gave it a little more vibrance to the color, kind of a heavenly look. Does anybody have any good tricks on tweaking out bad footage?

  i find multiplying in AE helps retain sharpness and saturation
