can psd do a curved line like this
? i am guessing its some sort of bevel. i see it used very often. i have done it by hand but there has to be an easier solution

study that image up close and if u can't reproduce it you should play around with photoshop abit more.

i can reproduce it in psd no problem... but with two seperate layers. i am wondering if the bevel emboss layer effect can do it instead?

yeah, just right click w/ your mouse on the layer and choose blending options. should list stuff including bevel etc.

i know how to set an emboss... but can it do that effect. because i was playing with it and can not simulate it

looks kinda like an inner glow and not an emboss. try that in the layer blending options.

i am talking about the curved lighter color on the top portion of the button, not the inner glow. here is the same image with the curves messed up so its more visible.
seems like a ton of mac software or css sites use this glassy-buttton effect
