... is sick.
Have an HTML ap we use here and people are copying and pasting in from Word - the code is unique to say the least : 1 p, 2 span and 2 font tags just for one sentence.
Now, does anyone know of an ap that you can copy and paste in Word and it cleans the code? It can't be DW as it has to sit on our server for external users to use it. Any help'd be mucho appreciated.

cool, do i get a cuddly toy if i get five stars?

You need 10 stars for a cuddly; 5 stars gets you a goldfish.
Nice work btw.

common problem. I once helped develop a WIKI and that same thing happened over and over and over and all the users I supported never listened to me. You could always unformat everything by dumping it into a text file and copy and pasting it out again.

Cheers JazX - Yeah - I thought that but it means to user would have to reformat the whole document; these are hefty manuals that run to 500+ pages so they're against doing it.
There has to be a way; fucking MS; pile of wank.
Still awaiting on XStandard to mail me back with trial optione but more help and ideas'd be helpful.

One word: Plone.
Plone has a native a tool built in that allows users to cut paste anything from M$ Word and upload maintaining all formating and styles. Another reason why Plone rules. Not really point in shoot though in your case though I guess....
