My original G1 5GB iPod died last november. the little tyke held out for almost 3 years. But the battery life got worse and worse, and eventually it couldn't even connect to my computer, and then one day... it... *sniff*... wouldn't wake up...
So I gave it the boot and got me a 40GB bastard instead.

but sydney transport rarely turns up in the first place.3 yrs is ok for a piece of electronics these days. i didn't even get 8 months out of mine.
