Is it me or is CSS support in browsers so horrible that it's nearly unusable for complex layout?
You can say that I just don't know what I'm doing, (and I'm not going to say that I'm a CSS god), but the people who do seem to employ methods that can very easily be descrobed as 'hacks'. It seems that the biggest problem for someone working with CSS is getting it to work across all browsers, and many fail at it.
People say that table layouts are archaic, but I can lay somethign out with tables 100 times faster than with CSS and it will be so much more compatible across browsers. Why is CSS becoming a new standard when every browser has its own idea of how things should look.

yeah its a hack, but once you get it right, it degrades wonderfully, and as soon as the browsers having trouble with standards sort their fucking collective shit out, there won't be any need for whining about hacks
