the tones in the black and white version won't reproduce via fax [if that's a concern] overall I like it, I think vburo may be right with losing some of the xx's...

Blue would be a good colour.

hey vburo, i'm back
I took away a row of x's, I sort of like the bottom one. but, i also kinda of like the unbalanced look of 2 rows of three X's, and then a lone +.
I think they lose something on when the row is taken away.
will play with the width.
hello sunggles, fax is not really a concern at the moment but it might be eventually. An way of getting round that, or is it a case of having a black logo for faxing/photocopying etc.

For fax clarity either go with a black outline [rather than a screen] or solid black...
Personally I think the width is fine, but vburo is dutch so I'd listen to him :P

A great improvement. However, I think there are a few steps left before it reaches it's full potential.
Again, a great improvement over the previous direction.

did you try stacking the thing?
- snuggles0
A screen is just using a % of a solid colour, like grey = % of black...
So I'm saying take the grey x's and make them a black outline rather than a grey fill...

Cheers guys yep is almost finished.
armed rob, yep i tried the staking thing, trouble was it gave it a large height, which as it is mainly being used in a header is a problem. I did create a nice version which a large part of it was obstucted behind the cloud, but it became unreadable, which is a shame.
I also tried rotating the middle set of x's so they were hlf way between the x and +. But it looked pretty wierd kinda made you think you were seeeing things.
snuggles - Thanks for the explanation, makes sense, definately going to go with the outline for black and white stuff.
not sure where i am going to go from here deadline looming,
arrrrghhh..... :)
