can one print from wireframe view? as in, the print will look like the wireframes i see on the screen? this would be useful.

i don't know if this will give you the effect you want but...
change everything to outline and change colors to black. go to effect>rasterize and click resolution>high and anti-aliasing>none.

Another way is to:
Object> path> set "offset path" to 0that outlines gradient mesh and keeps it vector.
