My company is footing the bill for me to take advanced InDesign training.
What specific features would you ask for training in if you had the chance?
I have already requested trainging in all XML features, what else would be beneficial?

Well, I was just about to write, WTF are you talking about InDesign and XML?
But took a look at the help files and you are right. I had no idea about those features.
What would that be useful for, though? I'm guessing importing large amounts of data for a catalog?I took a one day course in InDesign in February before really ever using it, and it helped tremendously. Got the basics down and that's what I needed. My first big project with it has been a tri-fold brochure announcing the 16 new attorneys that have joined our firm in the past nine months. Completing it today and it will be nice to know that it will be mailed to all of our clients. My first thing like this to do so kind of exciting.

mg33, I work for a law firm aswell.
We have multiple formats for bios and practice group summaries in print and web. If we implement it we will be able to update 1 file which with dynamically update all the printed materials and website.

That's cool. I never figured for working at a law firm but I really enjoy what I do here, and luckily we have outstanding people that don't fit those typical lawyer stereotypes.
That's really interesting about the XML. I am all about streamlining things like that. We have similiar problems with bios and practice group info.
