Anyone in the UK know the logo done a while back with a 3d '3' in various colours, for a mobile company, I've forgotten the details but saw it in CR a couple of times...

Thanks lobaat - perfect, we're debating in the office the awful new logo for 'movistar' in spain, done in Wolff Olins london. I was saying it was a poor version of the 3 logo...

the newlyn link is good - the ONO logo he did is well known over here, and I always liked it - the new 'movistar' logo has just been launched, the biggest branding campaign I've seen in Spain in years, but not well liked in general:

I hated that logo to start with...
Combined with their recent adverts its starting to look not so bad. Which is annoying me some what.

A lot more of these types kickin about now, may have to do something similar for a job soon. Don't they just go against everything you hold dear about a good logo? (colour model etc). I am warming to them though, but still suspicious of a marque that doesn't lend itself so well to one colour...

The movistar logo's got it covered as far as versions in one colour go (there's a norms sheet on the website for usage) but the actual type is so bad it's unbelievable - there's a huge version right opposite our studio and it looks so badly drawn (the v?!)... also says alot about the state of design in Spain that it's given to a london company to do...

Yeah, Summa Barcelona's done some good stuff, also Vasava etc. - there are good studios, it's the clients who are the problem...
