I'm also in the process of making a book bound on both sides with perforation in the middle. think two books bound together . . . should be done end of may, i can send you pics then?

Japanese Hand style is really easy and quick. ive used it and then bined two smaller books with thermal binding.

Designerror: Is 'rubberband' that nice method that involves the sheets having a sort of groove at the ends so that the band sits inside it?

okay found it, only had my camera phone around but you should get the idea of it. the rubberband is gone missing somewhere but it's just one of them big white ones you can get at the local office supplier.
it was suppose to be where the cut is made so it holds it all together.http://designerror.com/ntshit/1

That's what i thought you meant, how would 1 elastic band hold all those pages together though?

the cover is made from thin white cardboard and is made up like any other magazine, but the papers are just loose instead of glued to the 'back'
