distiller cs?

    I'm having a problem with my acrobat distiller cs and wanted to see if any of you knew how to fix it. I tried just opening and saving a word doc into a PDF using it and it keeps converting them into .txt files. If I open the .txt file it just shows some kind of error where the text would normally be. Any ideas?

    I sent the files to myself at work too trying to do them on my mac, but it won't even view it for some reason...maybe because I don't have word installed here.
