Is there any way to collapse all my playlists in the sidebar (like I can shared music?) Because seriously... it's really annoying if I can't.

itunes needs to work on playlist funtion.
i can't take my playlists from ipod to itunes, even though i have the same tracks in my library. that's really annoying!

as long as we are bitching, is there any way to transfer all of my songs from on computer to another, say via an external hard drive, and keep all the ratings/play count info???

spade, I would consider selling the G5, I've been hearing so much about speed problems w/ things as simple as Itunes and Logic Audio.
With the money you get from selling a dual G5 you can buy a PC that will be considerably faster along with a huge LCD monitior, and still have a grand or so to play with (get a wacom tablet, go on vacation, save some money, etc.)/
Winamp gets little mention in the media or by people, but its fast, full featured and much less bloated than itunes.

i wouldnt switch to a PC if u paid me, but thanks for the advice tho :P =) ...plus its a work machine;
...but seriously, there has to be somthing simple here thats causing this, it makes NO SENSE
I use Logic Pro and have no issues with it or speed issues with anything other than iTunes
but i thought with Tiger this iTunes skipping/stalling/stop/start thing would be BLOODY FIXED
god its been pissing me off for soo long now
- elms0
do you have some effects activated? (crossfade for example) dunno...
- randoman0
Well, it sounds like a problem with the audio buffer. Try having a lok at your soundcard's settings and increase the buffer/latency if you can. If not, try to maybe revert to an older version of itunes?
I still think you should make the switch. There are a lot of rumors as PC's going around in the Mac community and most of them arent true. And learning to use the secnd button on the mouse is not as hard as most people think it is.
- blackspade0
elms, nope, tried all that its all off, no effects activated
randomman, ill have a looksy at the sound-card stuff yea
I been using macs since i was about 12 years old, I couldnt switch to PC i would be lost mate
im a mac man, sad but true

I wish I could help you, but I don't think it's the machine.
I have a dual 2g and much less ram and I have no problem with iTunes.

Dual 2.5, not a lot of RAM... iTunes runs fine. Odd.
Except for the aforementioned playlist gripe.
