producers don't take people for more than one sort of action hero, usually. and Angelina has already been in Tomb Raider as Lara Croft.
Theron was obviously not attractive in Monster but it was her best performance.

yup, i think (by seeing interviews) that she had been frustrated from not being noticed for almost 10 years.

I totally agree. She's hot for sure, but she can't have been the first choice.
Milla Jovovich is a perfect match... Even Daryl Hannah (think Blade Runner) would be a better choice.
