*quotes self*
"Thoughts, comments and suggestions (to pursue with the image after it has been handed in and marked) welcome."
The idea of that was for you guys to suggest where to take the image from here. I was just letting you know that as far as the assignment goes it's done but I'm gonna take it further in my own time, you can be sure of that.
Anyway, suggestions and comments (in terms of what to add/change now that the image is where it's at) please.
I might add that I've been studing this course since Feb 14th...so you can't expect the world of me either :P

You should have let the thread direct the design!
Impress your peers - fuck the grade!
- stem0
Me too!
Why don't you incorporate comments from this thread?
After all - this has been going on for a couple of days now and a few people have said a few interesting points (not me though!).

I showed the design to my teacher today and got some feedback. I can't be arsed explaining a few elements that are there for the purpose of gaining marks but as far as the assignment goes, the image is looking about as good as it can to meet all of the marking criteria though it's far from a masterpiece. Still, I'm happy to get the marks and leave it pretty much as is for the assignment. This is where it's at (be aware that going from .AI to .PNG8 has killed a little contrast and also made the transparencies a lot less subtler (especially along the bottom) but you'll get the idea:
Thoughts, comments and suggestions (to pursue with the image after it has been handed in and marked) welcome.

Too True!
Also the trouble with art is that it is only viewed as a signle "subject", as a seperate entity.
All "subjects" are interwoven and it's funny how people have trouble getting their heads round this!
I'm not having a go, because this attitude comes from our education system (UK) by the age of 13-14 you life is mapped out.
Steve is a plumber
Dave is a mechanic
etc. etc.Heaven forbid anyone who dares stray from the path!

evolution in any of the arts (which design is but the dim pale shadow) comes from some very original mind. only 1% of people are able to do that, and most of them are worried with mathematics or literature and not graphics.

Pavement Pizza is "slang" for vomit.
From a distance - it has the appearance of...
While were on the subject of "urban" marks vs food - there's those cool areas of dots left by chewing gum.
Random patterns made by accident!
In movies like "seven" where they use the UV? lamp to uncover, forensic evidence etc.
Interesting how the marks have a chilling way of describing the violence!

Your talking about "Street Meat" and I'm assuming this "Pavement Pizza" you speak of is a variant of just that.
pizza is a very general thing, but just like anhy other food, it's not the same wherever you get it.
Street Meat (street vended hotdogs and assorted meat) is a deadly plague that has riddled our streets like the violence of a gunfight for many years... I shall hope that Pizza does not take a similar turn to the worse.

Maybe I can make you hold out a little longer?
Pavement Pizza!
Another cool "urban" mark which never seems to go out of fashion!
In the UK (more northern areas) there is the chips & gravy window wash and the doner kebab scrub!

You sure know your pizza, pizzaman
Tonight I hope to study pizza too

bk_shankz ,
It's no secret that the mere use of the word pizza will make someones mouth water and tounge twitch.
Pizza is one of those rare foods who's name alone will stir the appitite.
Pi - To pique the curosity... the alluring aroma of a fresh pie making its way though your nasal cavity and into you glands.
izz - sounds like "eats" and that exactly what you do once the tempting smell has overcome your senses...
za! - you excalim after you finish a few slices, still savoiring the flavor of fresh tomatoes and warm, tangy cheese.
Pizza!

Your constant pizza jammerin is making me hungry

Unevenly cut pizza is begining to become a trend...
All the hottest parlors are cuttin their slices with square tops (almost rectangle shaped slices).
I think the trend started when citizens couldent make up their mind between getting sicilian and regular slices... so it's the best of both worlds.
