i just bused back home with new sneakers on, the bitch was packed but my trainers escaped any scuffs, thank god.
today marked 1 week at my new job, it was also d-day for initial concepts on the project i'm working on... i feel as though what i handed in was solid, but it wasnt extraordinary, and that makes me a little sad... i really wanted to do blow them away.
and so now i wonder which comp the client will choose, hmm...

show me the light robbie_m what words of wisdom doth you preach?
I did 4 and half years designing for the high end corporate sector. Now I'm coming to the end of my second year doing work for the public arts and charity sector. Gone from one end of the market to the next and am now either fed up or in desperate need of a holiday. I can't figure out what the next company's client list would be if I were to move on.

not all projects are award winners Nick, if it does the job and your boss is happy, move on eh?

well... i had the opp to blow it out of the water... the project is fucking rad, and my concept was super solid.
i think what i did was good... but not amazing.
it was also the first week of a 3 month contract [at a company i really really really want to work for]... im not full-time yet... so i kinda wanted to show what i was capable of...
but anyways, the comp turned out well, i think the CD was happy. we'll see what happens.
*lights spliff...
happy friday all :)

the answer is simple. you've always known you had a talent for design and it has been an comfortable career because it comes easy to you.
you are looking for a challenge, but your challenge is life. not design.

where have i heard that before robbie?
(not used with design as the example, but something else i think)
