nice site... what do people think about the 'hover to select' approach?
- Solid0
Hot product designs ... but I'm not too crazy about the 'hover to select'
- jarredbishop0
yea me too.. it a bit too accidental for me....

I'm not a big fan of select without click, but you get used to it fast tho, a lot loading going on on that site tho.
hah flashback
they have the Yamaha G-10 midi guitar in there, must be from the late 80s and was discontinued early.

maybe if it waited just a touch more though it'd work. i kinda like the approach. something different

the "hover to select" thing seems like an attempt to do something different for no reason. there's a reason mouses have the ability to click. i don't like it.

Odd. The instructions make it clear but the urge to follow habit is strong.
It's not a too comfortable feeling. It would take getting used to.
Like Skelly said, these types of decisions should mean something. Does it mean this site takes one step out of navigation procedures?
If so, its a sort of subtraction that doesn't highlight any real need, other than to be different.
The worst part is the purgatory between habit and instruction.

Quite possibly one of the least usable interfaces I've ever dealt with. Fucking ridiculous, and how am I supposed to go back when I accidentally mouse over a stupid button?
Mind you, I believe Jacob Nielson is the antichrist, so for it to stir me this much must mean it's that bad.
Although it is sharp. It'd rock if they didn't disavow the ol' clickety-click. Or maybe implemented telepathic navagation?

yeah i'm with them ^^
me like to clicky click click
make the users take ownership for their actions.....
