ctrl click will select the layer you click instead of finding it in your stack
handy when using over 100 layers folders or not

shift click with the paint bucket to change the surrounding background interface colour.

alt + H + O + T
pops up teh instant hottness menu, gives you a bunch of trend whore splatter effects, twirls, lines, naked hookers, oh and color of the month, (I beleive its puke green this month).

that control click feature is why it's important to name your layers.

hold ALT key over a guide to create a guide the oposite to it in connection point.
example
Create a Vertical guide over a Horizontal guide by holding the ALT key and placing mouse over in the horizontal guide

im a naming freak but i'd rather ctrl click than read for the right layer
its faster

select gradients by selecting all, then the move tool then pressing up once and down once
or left right whatever it just moves it one pxel with each move
great for gradient deletes

didn't know about that before xmas..i started in PS 2.5 btw.. but upgraded after a month to 3.11 after i stole it from my school
