what ever happened to the good politicia.... um... i'm just going to stop there cause good and politician should never be used in the same sentance.

(Apr 6 05, 08:41)as if good politician can be said about Democrats as well, and Liberterians and Independants, etc.

Jazx, talking loud and saying nothing as usual.

Why so mrdobolina? You act as if all politicians go into it for good reasons and not money and power?
Free rangers, the entire lot. That's my point. Not just in the US, but all over.
- mrdobolina0
so just let them run wild then?
or try to actually have some oversight?
- ********0
No I didn't say that. Oversight is conceptually a good idea, but does it work...? Even when these guys get caught do they care or are they charged?
Generally, I just give my opinion. You have to admit that most of the people that bang around these threads, seem as if they do an aweful lot of copying and pasting from articles and authors. At least it sounds that way as opposed to their normal lingo.

Paul Wellstone - RIP
My wife is sick of listening to the news in ther morning because all I can say is 'dumbassses' over and over again.
- grafholic0
it's kind of sad...my believe is that 95% of politicians out there are dirty and simply there for their wealth rather than common good. i really feel bad for the 5% or whatever that are politicians by heart, not some kind of money maker.
and its sad to see myself voting for the lesser of two evil.
i am glad i don't live in D.C. or i'll be walking to work everyday cursing at every one of those assholes.

there is nothing good coming out of any one party owning all three branches of our government, that was my point. I should probably word things a bit more correctly, because I know many good people that consider themselves republican for some reason.
- grafholic0
this country needs more than 2 major parties.
- ********0
I'm thinking more along the lines of 99.5%.
But you're damn right. But then again politics exist on all levels right? Even at workplaces and such.
People take advantage of whatever they can get away with and don't care otherwise. Isn't that human nature?

(Apr 6 05, 10:03)I couldn't agree more, it should be shared on some level or agreement

it IS the human nature to gather up and live nicely and richly.
however, humans also have a thing called "guilt" and "discipline".
yeah we deal with politics on daily basis, but we didn't campaign to do politics everyday - those assholes did, telling people in the country what they plan to do for their lives, gathering money, and what happens to that money? don't they feel a bit guilty to use that money to play golf in moscow?then again, humans also have a thing called "group sychology". and if 99.5% of washington assholes are doing the same thing, of course, one will say "if others can do it, so can i".
so fucking sad.

republicans in this country have been hoodwinked.
they list smaller government and fiscal responsibility as two of their main values that distinguish them as republicans. There is none of that going on right now.
Here is another point:
Republicans generally align themselves with corporations, while democrats tend to align themselves with unions.
Between corporations and unions, who do you think does more good for regular working class people?
