i loves me a good grid
also janne: that gradient is fucking harsh. I think you should lighten it up a bit.

with all that ink coverage, the letterhead is going to take a couple extra days to dry, just fyi. also, if there is no ink on the backside, the ink from the front will leave a mark on the edges when they trim it. but if there is ink on the backside, you should be ok

logo is too big. pop it above the top grid line you have on the last one, instead of under it. soften the gradient.

your love for the grid will be your demise!
- Gorbie0
i would ditch the gradient and go solid.
have you thought about how they will print on the letterhead? as in what margin area the text will be placed...
i always get pissed when i design a nice looking letterhead then picure 14pt. times splattered all over it.

the grid is king
without it you have nothing

i use a variation of the grid. i use the crib.before i design anything i sit around my crib drinking beer and watching tv. THEN when i'm good and drunk i design stuff.
hmm... maybe that's why i never post anything here on nt. it all looks like i was drunk when doing it.
*rethinks crib design process

yup Gorbie. That's why its a good idea to send the client an electronic word template with margins and typestyle ready to go so they dont spoil a good thing

It looks nice.I would probably move the logo flush to the top of the address, or the bottom, waste a few more unbillable hours going back and forth, and then end up the way it was originally.
- Gorbie0
agreed roberto..
what i guess i meant to say is:
how does it look with some everyday type placed on it?

yeah, i like the second attempt janne. also, the gradient's gotta go. at least tone it down.
and the grid is king. i had a professor in school who would literally yell in our face if our grid was off. regardless, he was the man. i just like the way if structures everything. i havent used a grid since though...
- jpolk0
the gradient is a big no-no. letterheads are for printing/writing on.
- jpolk0
think about how that is going to come out on a shitty printer/fax machine...
- Rand0
I just noticed you'd redone it since the first post-- ignore my post
