I joined AQUENT, which is affiliated with AIGA. I remember filling out about 2 hours worth of forms and submitting samples. All I got out of it was an e-mail saying an agent will contact me to follow up. I'm not even sure if anyone evaluated my work. Hope this helps.

It's worth joining if you'd like to go to their hotair lectures and rub elbows with the terminally inane. If you want to hookup with local agencies it could help. It's a waste for interactive.

too expensive.....some cool people, some not so cool people...all depends on your chapter i guess.

i'd say its worth it 100%. the resources and contacts you'll get out of it are invaluable.
