Watched the new Keanu Reeves film last night, liked it.
wasn't sure how he'd follow up after being Neo. But it seems he's doing alright.

Mneh, I didn't care for it. The story just seemed too hollywood.
"Only one person can save the world. Neo...er, Constantine!"

Lots of the critics hated it but most of my peers liked it. So I guess you just have to see the movie for yourself. I'm going to wait for that one.

one of my favourites was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I bet they could make an awesome remake, but I'm not sure I would want the classic, cheesy one to be replaced.

the TMNT remake was already done in a new straight to video format of pure cgi. you can find it probably at your local internet video store, i believe it was released last summer.
dont be worried when it come to comic book movies and what real time people play them. the best example ever: THE GREEN MILE...most people dont know that is as well a comic book movie. but that movie fucking rocks hard!!! as for super-man, we all have our preconceived ideas as what the film should have as standards considering we all know the origins and some like myself know a lot more than that, we feel any change to the character would hinder the process, because it makes everything new and not fitting into our cookie cutter ideals...its like spider-man, the origina was changed to make him more believeable in a real time nyc lifestyle. i loved it, but i hated it more! it changed 30 years of history to fit into today's present. overall the mend result is extremely welcome which ever way its spawned. i am glad its happening now, that so many comic books are seeing a new avenue of showing a new audience what there is out there.
i am excited! a giddy little kid!

There have been some very good "non-superhero" adaptations of comic books also.
- Road To Perdition
- Ghost World
- Amercan Splendor
- From HellOk. "From Hell" sucked.
- airey0
i liked from hell. still, two of my favorite films are "buckaroo banzai" and john carpenter's "They Live" so i guess my opinions aren't shared by many.
