Anyone remember her? She had this off-the-hizzy design company, but it doesn't look like it's around any more. Does anyone know what happened?

i never understood why her stuff was so hyped. I fell asleep at one her lectures at MOMA when I was over in SF. I think Jennifer Morla is much better.

I saw her speak her in Toronto a few years back at the DX but it was a disaster. She was taking painkillers for some knee injury or something but decided to chug a couple of martinis before getting up on stage. Very embarassing for everyone in attendence.

About 3 years ago i heard that she was focusing more on interactive design than print - i imagine that did not work out for her so well.
I read that when she presented work, she would only show one design, because according to her process there was only one solution that is correct. I dont think that thinking is very effective for web.

I remember seeing her business card which was made out of metal, it looked like something from the early nineties, it was laughable at best..

Hmm... oooookay.
"An example of how designers don’t allow for the full potential of the Web to be reached is a logo that does nothing online; one that just sits there. "Logos should always be doing something," she says firmly. When the content changes, the logo should change. It should move, should dance, should be the center of attention.
It is this type of thinking outside of convention that has propelled Jennifer Sterling toward becoming one of the most highly respected designers of her time."

She should have stuck to print - something she was already highly overrated in anyway...
