Something wrong about launching a site on April 1st, but clients demands prevailed.
New site for Jagwire Control Systems. Anyone who rides a bike probably has Jagwire cables on their ride whether they know it or not. Pretty straight html. Going for a clean navigation to let the products speak for themselves. Check it out.
TIA for any constructive crits.

i like the clean & simplicity of it.
that yorange font color bothers my eyes though, maybe its me

one thing: On the Connect with Jagwire page, your text size is completely different from the rest of the site. Looks a little unprofessional.

i like how clean it is.
but if it were me i would get rid of the small gray horizontal bar at the top, the two vertical bars on the sides, and extend the two shades of gray in the navigation bar 100% while centering the page. it will give it a really clean look and feel.
the bars on the side are really distracting to me. i can't stop looking at them. i know they are wires that go along with the name but that's like putting apples on the apple site ya know.

Yeah, I hear you Kona. "Oh I get it. Jag WIRE" Little bit see and say.
One of those client basterdizing and combing two different concepts issues.
Thanks for the feedback though.

not that it's a huge issue or anything but you might want to flex your professional designers muscles and tell them they are really distracting and its your professional opinion to remove them.
good work though.

same as slinky. Can you make the yellow nav a bit darker

"Control Systems" is so light on the header it's kind of hard to see. Maybe go for a thicker font and a few shades darker.
Not a big fan of the text colors on the side nav - it's confusing that links change color once you've visited a page. True, it shows you which products you've looked at, but for that you're giving up the ability for people to tell what page they're on. I would prefer to have the page I'm on grey, and everything else stay orange.
Also it's pretty confusing when you're on the What's New page, you get the exact same menu as the Products page, then when I click on something - I'm now in the Products section. Why not nix What's New entirely, and just feature a What's New graphic at the top of the Products section?

Really good feedback ukit.
I intended the "whats new" to be more of whats new in the company, ads, product launches, but the client couldnt come up with new content for me. Therfore it looks identical to the products page.
I wanted to keep the products navigation up when ever possible to alliviate multiple clicks and make them easily accessible. What's new does seem like a redundant link now. Hopefully it will jive better in the future.
Thanks again.

i'm not sure if this is supposed to be happening, but when i hover over any of the images in the top navigation, they move up about a half inch...
i'm not a big fan of that.
(note: i'm looking at it in firefox)

site looks good, its about time jagwire changed their look. being a biker for several years i've heard of them but never used their products, or maybe i have?
i agree w/ ukit about the whats new page... also the images on the index page dont link, should they?

Good call on the index links coflo. I'll have to split up that image and link them to the appropriate products.
Good first weekend launch stats. Thanks to all the visitors here. :)

My first instinct was to think the cables/brakes were for motorcycles... not sure why...
Maybe the client should think about using the word bicycle somewhere. Just for the random "un-informed" types like myself
I confer on the side nav colour being a problem (also thinking of accessibility you may be risking problems with people with colour / vision problems)
Like the cleanliness, like the layout, like the colours. Good work.
