reduce the lower corners so it doesn't intrude on the text
- DavidFelt0
Yeah like it mate, seems effective enough, only thing may be that the type that goes over the graphics (bottom paragraph) may be distorted into the graphics when photocopying.
Layout looks okay tho!

good point david.
i would ordinarily defend my choice to overlap the text and graphics but i hadn't thought that when photocopying the text might become illegible.

id say, sort the type/immage overlapping as mentioned.
reduce the main heading by a few points and lose the two cherry balls at the top.
then I'd question, whats a leather tie night all about!??
- anzelina0
yeah, leather tie night is the unfortunate name of their band.

Agree with the type being overrun at the bottom and I would also distribute the the weight more evenly the poster is very top heavy with the larger/bolder font and the thicker decorative ornaments.
I would make them lighter like the bottom ones.

one other minor tweak would be to increase the thickness of the thin white lines going through the top art.
nice work.

thanks guys.
yeah, gruntt, i'm going to convince the guys to copy it onto colored papers, perhaps even some vellum or somesuch.
i'll have to do the tweaking after work, then i'll post the updated poster.
also gruntt, i worked with / am friends with a designer named kevin smith, good guy, here's his website : http://www.studio-gs.com/

I would introduce a secondary font. Perhaps a body copy font. Also play arround with using bold and thin versions of the font.
