Soulwax is good music
copyright?
- tommyb0
screw the copyright. It's ok, don't mind them.
Do you describe what stuff is yours and what's other's work?
Some of it's obviously yours, but little things like the T-Mobile thing would confuse me as to what you did vs. what some corp artist did. I would also get rid of the basic text elements, they don't do anything uless there's tome tech stuff I didn't notice.
Good reel.

The t-mobile logo I animated, thats why I used it.... Everything in it is my work that I made...
thanks for the respond....

ever heard of ease in/out ;)
good work
- Short0
haha yeah I did hear about ease in and out but about 2 months after one of the projects... I'm still learning...

(Mar 30 05, 03:21)great. you got some stuff of yours i can put into my portfolio?
- tank0
hehe same here man...

Balls, now look what you've done. Searching through my might archive for all those bootleg soulwax toons! grrr, their re-working of daft punks robot rock is classic.
- tommyb0
You can have all the music I put in my reel. I was talking about music, yeah though, that other stuff is sketchy.
- rabattski0
so what's the difference?
- vburo0
so illegaly using music in reels is ok opposed to illegaly using graphics. some strange logic there, young man.
- madeGB0
All you have to do to get over it is at the end, give credit to musicians....
I tink
- tank0
yup.only credits.
man if different, lawsuits wouldbe flt-ying around the place..i'll bet 75 percent of the reels isn't cleared with the author in question.
- del_razor0
anyway.. to comment on the reel...
i really like your zoom to text style for the movie titles..
the only criticism i'd give you is that all of your graphic work has solid color backgrounds with a dark vingiette around the edges of the screen... this works well most of the time.. but when a reel is filled with that look.. it makes it normal.. and doesn't allow the graphics to stand out as much as they should..
great work though.. keep it up...

THX Del razor
I guess sometimes you have a period when you use the same kind of technic a couple of times.
I've started working on a new reel, because of new work I have made recently. So in that reel there will be less gradients... hehe
- Short0
Because I am pretty new to this process of making a reel. I guess the next time I will need to look more in to copyrights.
how do you guys do it? When using music for a showreel or for work made on you own?

bwah just use it.look youre not making money of it...
funny the music of the first buck reel just was on studio brussel...
'cause we..are ...your ..friends...'
- vburo0
well i am only warning because "crediting" people as an excuse won't work in court. not a big deal as a student but beware when you become a professional.
- rabattski0
"look youre not making money of it..."
so what's the point of a having a reel?
anyways i shouldn't worry too much about it. unless you're big. crediting is fine but as janne said it's not taking care of the copyright issues at all.
i had to use other people's music once and just asked if it was ok, and it was. but those weren't that well known.
