Hope I don't get slated for this but:
Anyone looking for a website, record companies, design studios, photographers, illustrators.
I am trying to break away from the corporate stuff I have done in the past, I only do this part time but I would like to apply my skills to a more creative audience.
Not looking for money, just something more creative to put on my portfolio.
Go ahead, slate me, just wanna put my design skills to better use.

Nobody wantes a website, suppose most people here can build there own.
Can anyone give advice on getting freelance work in. Good sites, books etc.
Thanks.

since you dont have posted a portfolio/references of your work, why should someone trust you and give a work/opportunity?
dont want to be a bastard, but this is real life...

try posting on The Association of Illustrators message boards. I'm sure there will be a few illustrators on there who'll take you up on your offer

Cant say I need anything. I dont think you should be slated. I only got experience in the Web by doing the first few projects for free - on account of the fact that I didn't know what I was doing. Now I do it for a living.
Seeing as you've got experience, I would offer something for a token £100 - but not "free".

Actually mate, I might have a band site for you.
Send me your email.

What Band is that Moth? Anyone I would have herd?
- ********0
Nah. Just a local oxford based band.
Although the drummer was *nearly* in the Super Fury Animals... and also stars in Radiohead's Creep video.

ow dude, hope the dude doesn't sport his "nearly the super fury animals" drummer thing too much.

No. To be honest I think his band is better.
Funny - in his first band he was playing the same venues as Radiohead before they were the big thing.
